My name is Aashchay; Ash for short. I’m a creative who loves to use videography, animation and visual effects to tell stories. My aim is use these skills to make a positive impact in our communities. Projects that help benefit the lives of others are what I love to contribute towards. I was once told as a young student by my animation tutor that “film and animation is not about moving images. It is about moving people with images.”

Mum’s Voices (2021) is an animated pilot episode I’ve written and directed which is based on Schizophrenia. It tells the story of a young Samoan boy living in New Zealand with his mother who is affected by Schizophrenia. It explores the way this condition is perceived within the school environment, the public and by family members of those who live with Schizophrenia.
